artists statement

The subject of my artwork is in constant exploration of our shared human experience.  I like to explore the human face most often as the most expressive image to all humanity. I seek to project emotions that are rarely depicted such as curiosity, wonderment, fearlessness, intrigue, and adventure with all those subtle nuances in between. I place the viewer in the eyes of vivid characters expressing their immediate experience, often inspired by real life individuals or a combination of real and total fantasy. I reach for high visual and emotional impact even within the more complex or reserved emotions we all have.  On occasion I will take my explorations into pure non objective abstractions, or panoramic vista's that are in many ways projecting the very same emotional subject matter.

ART JURY

Gallery 125, Art in Bloom, Trenton, NJ, 2007
      bio
At a very young age I was immediately drawn to all things creative. I prolifically created art, as well as music, as if it were established as my only purpose. I first publicly presented my diverse artwork in the summer of 2004 at the Collingswood New Jersey May Fair purely on a whim. The response to my artwork exceeded my wildest expectations and I have been a full time artist actively promoting my art ever since. As of July of 2011 I have had over twelve fine galleries which have represented my work in Philadelphia, New York City, Trenton, Hampton and several small towns. I gained international sales as well using the well-known London based Saatchi online gallery which represents 30% of my sales.
